Muddy the waters a little more, this does. Using the word "compromised" certainly makes it sound like the hacker went in there and changed things, but the guy didn't even know what he got into until they tapped his shoulder. Leave it to Reuters to put a twist on this cocktail. Of course then everyone picks it up as though that's the focus: "OMIGOD the files will NEVER give us what really happened!"
