Actually you probably don't need a holster unless you are going on a little hike.
I would think the basics of an alarm system or a dog then a shotgun, revolver or pistol but it all depends where are you living like the country, city proximity to neighbors etc.
I live in a community however since we moved here I have felt that it is dangerous to live in this community. I am broke and I live with my sister, I am a substitute teacher but at least I have a job. Anyhow I believe if something big happens this community will be the first target I have been telling to my sister to live in a place far away from the suburbs like a small place deep in the wood but she will never do that because she is used to the small cities. 🤷♀️

Is your rent reasonable or is it insane?
Moving to the woods has its own nightmares. Apex predators.
Without knowing the demographics it's hard for me to get an idea but I wouldn't over worry.
Be the best teacher that you can be.
If you're a hit you will have no shortage of consistent work.
Be confident around your sister that way she stays calm.
I do think we're going to turn a corner and good things are going to happen.

Thanks for the kind words. Like your sister I remember a time I was heavy into sports, both watching and participating in.
Then like the movie The Matrix I woke up. I was much happier back then before waking up.
But I had no choice I had to wake up.
I think what I would be worried about with your sister is if she started drifting into a leftist liberal.
Otherwise I'd just let her be for now.
