So, talking with friends over weekend and since yesterday, started thinking something might be off about some things here. Spouse was flying Friday (13th) and had a scheduled layover in Baltimore. She got to where she needed to be Saturday, but flights were cancelled at Baltimore (Baltimore tower was evac), Dulles and Ronald Regan. Allegedly a chemical smell near the Potomac. Yesterday, near where I live we heard the earth-shaking booms from the "asteroid that exploded over NE Ohio".
My buddy tells me he's hearing that was no space rock but something ballistic. Have no proof, but our tin hats are tinging with what's going on all around the world and these "weird" events.
Thoughts? Feedback? Curious to know if others have anything on this.
Spirit airlines in Ft. Lauderdale, multiple stewardesses were overheard that internal communication amongst employees and the company, especially scheduling, has all but collapsed.
Pilots and crew over the weekend didn't get their aircraft assignments until well after scheduled takeoff, if at all. Many of the delays and cancellations out of FLL from Friday to at least Monday seem to be a direct result.
Don't know why, but speculatively could be part of the bankruptcy Spirit is going through.
Source, i had family stranded at FLL for 3 days over the weekend, Spirit employees apparently aren't taught to use tact when talking to their bosses in the terminals. Also heard they'd been waiting for 10+ hrs. At a time without instructions, and told by the person on the phone that "Its not my problem".
