Sadness. Of my many siblings, there is one who was deceived and has fairly severe TDS. They actually voted biden, it is the one dark blot on our family. And why did they do it? They were taken in on loan forgiveness.

Carrying a debt of... i think its only a few thousand... for years is insane.

My wife and i were idiots in college, but we got practical degrees and we got good jobs and worked hard. Between us we owed $58k from college. Even with living expenses, getting married, life, cars, we still managed to be ahead and pay it off in stride in 10 years, no worries no problem (we had special state loans with basically no interest, so we could take our time).

We now own our vehicles outright, (paid cash for the latest truck thanks to a God thing), low mortgage payments and tons of equity in the house. Home garden and finishing an addition on the house.
