What exactly are those helmets protecting... when 75% of the head is fully exposed? Those look more like bicycle helmets than anything I'd want to wear in a war situation.

The helmets might protect from a bump on the head, but in combat they look useless.

They’re not ballistic helmets. Literally called bump helmets. And attach comms and maybe night vision units.
