Are We - The Red-Pilled - Still Filing Tax Returns? Honestly, this one red pill is stuck in my throat.
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
Several podcaster influencers that I have watched have Infomercials offering help with tax debts and back taxes, etc. this seems odd to me because they have also said that "the IRS is illegal" and "the IRS is being abolished."
I have no income that requires taxes (disability) but I have now become my 62-year-old sibling's Guardian and according to the court, I have to file her returns. I also am the executor of our brother's estate and I am being told I have to file his tax return.
Just curious... any frens who can help me understand this one gray area - please only provide positive responses. I am in no mood to be beaten up for being naive.
Depends on the income. If your sister has taxable income and doesn't pay during the year, I would think yes. Also Depends on how much that income is. If it's less than the single person standard deduction, then, of course, no, there wouldn't be any taxable income. I don't know about filing taxes after death but it would seem the same would apply as far as how much taxable income, if any. I file to get a partial refund as I am an employee and pay taxes throughout the year. If I were self employed, I wouldn't file again if I hadn't paid in during the year, screw that.
