Yup. Countries disarm their citizens so they can do things to them that they couldn't do if the citizens were armed.

At some point along this path I realized had I grown up somewhere else, had different parents, different conditioning, I probably wouldn’t hold deep seeded Right leaning beliefs. And,, I seriously doubt I’d be here talkin with you🤷♂️

I live in a deeep Red area that exists within a Red state, and I can honestly say “you would have to pry them from our cold dead hands” if a hard push was ever actually made.
We still wear boots, go hog hunting with AR’s and tannerite, and deer hunt with what most ppl would consider a sniper rifle. The country boy might not be as prevalent as it was 3 decades ago, but the roots are still there and they are DEEP and STRONG.
All that said, I’m not all Pollyanna about this, I see the reality and know what can change in a short period of time. It’s just that where I live (pop. 110k / 1.5hrs from Dallas) would be a bloody disaster if that was approached any time soon. COME AND TAKE
