Idk, as a musician myself I would agree that the majority of mainstream artists are fake & ghey regardless of genre. And that trend dates back decades... it's only gotten worse over time.

I agree though that we shouldn't blanket sweep deep cultural influences in the trash just because modernity and molestation of the music has sullied a genre. E.g. I'll keep listening to The Dead Kennedys but you can flush Blink182 right down the crapper where it belongs. Or, in this case keep the Waylon and flush the Florida Georgia Line kek!
