Yeah, that “freedom of religion” clause in the Constitution that doesn’t exist is powerful brainwashing.
Freedom of religion is codified in the 1st Amendment, you obviously know that.
HOWEVER, any organization can be prosecuted under RICO if they are conducting those types of organized criminal activities.
This is NO different than saying you can't be prosecuted for shooting someone because the 2nd Amendment allows you to own a gun. You go shoot someone and you will be prosecuted.
Yeah, I got confused for a bit with “separation of church and state”. Whoops.
That said, there should definitely be some sort of line on it. Cannibalism is a religion, but we don’t allow that free practice. Islam would seek to overturn the constitution. That’s a problem. “The People” never had a say in the communist plot to overrun us with anathematic foreigners, which also complicates things a bit.
Maybe on that last point, the purpose is for us to step up our domestic evangelism game….
