If I were her, I would give up on men until her child is grown and out of the house. It takes a special man to be interested in raising another man’s child. Common sense tells you not to trust another man alone in the house with your child or children. Same goes for men introducing women into the house when you have children. We have seen enough child abuser female teachers as well.
