Yes! I hope we do that! My education (graduated 83, before the feds really got their tentacles out) was vastly superior to both my kids' education.

I went to a California State University starting in 1985 and graduated with no debt 4 years later. My first semester including parking but not books was $483.

Currently, a semester costs $4165.

Yeah, was definitely more affordable then. And you got better value for your money. My professors just taught the subject.
