I knew that. Albeit Konrad put it more succinctly.

It’s also easier to write off deaths and disappearances of SOF guys. Plausible deniability ops. Black Ops that don’t officially exist etc.

More people might ask questions and want answers if an Infantry Company disappears in unclear circumstances versus a handful of Special Operations guys you can say died in a training accident or something.
