If your inputs are provable facts then your arguments will be quality, even if they aren’t acknowledged at the time by your debate opponent. There is still a great point to debating well: there are other people who can be convinced as they have the requisite respect for reality. Additionally, your reasoning goes on record and can change people’s minds in the future, maybe even your debate opponent’s. Also it’s good just to inject the truth into the zeitgeist in the first place. Keep the faith.
