I'm kind of shocked that the plans are 47 stories, I get the symbolism, but the tallest building in Miami right now is 48 stories, why not go to 50? In Miami you can build up to 50 stories right now.
Building height requirements could always change, but Trump will always be 47 (and 45 and 46 and...)

Well, in Miami they are based on what the ground can handle, it's a shallow island.
Never underestimate any municipality's desire and will to create more regulations, rules, codes, ordinances, and obstacles to development.
There are regulations, then there are the physics of reality.
45, 46, 47 --- 47 again? Kek
It could be 47 stories with some taller floors making it as taller than the Miami limit with a building code exception. KEK!
