If he goes that is history in the making. It has never been reported to have a sitting US President attend any oral argument session. Nothing legally forbids it so the precedent is just optics for separation of powers. I also doubt that we hear from SCOTUS about his attendance directly. It will be leaks from anonymous sources and on of them will say something off hand at a symposium or dinner.
