I can't help but think Trump puts these bad actors into position to self-compromise themselves.

If Bondi was implicated with Epstein she's left with two horrible choices:

Release the files implicating yourself.
Don't release the files and get caught in a cover-up.

that just looked bad on him/trump admin so that would be silly unfored error that backfired and the time for self implicating these people was first term. 2nd term if getting them out and in jail as there won't be a 3rd
