After the attack at the Navy Yard, I became acutely aware of the total stupidity of prohibiting Naval personnel from carrying weapons. I was told it was because weapons made personnel "uncomfortable." You never know when one could attack???!!! So, the same people we trust with multi million dollar airplanes, can't be trusted with a sidearm. So we on base were sitting ducks whose only defense was a filing cabinet pushed against a door. Bill Clinton did this.
Excellent! I’ve long wondered why they wouldn’t allow trained soldiers to have weapons on a base.
You and me both. The Ft Hood shooting had me asking why none of our military had a weapon. Ridiculous.

Finally!
Now do truck drivers so truckers can protect themselves!
What could go wrong?
Would be nice if us vets got a way to carry too.
I work on an Army post.
