I don’t think that’s exactly it. “Allah” apparently is and has been historically pretty commonly used by Arab speaking Christians when referring to our actual God.
So it could be just a reference to that and it could also be a troll to all the Islam apologists in the Groyper-sphere trying to sell people on the idea that “They talk about Jesus and vaguely kinda sorta believe some of the stuff we do about Him… so that mean we’re totally compatible religions, because reasons, trust me bro.”
If you speak Arab, historically it often is. Words can be used both in correct and incorrect contexts. The word predates Islam and has been used by Christians in a good context and other false religions the same way some pagan might call their idol/demon they worship a “god”. Doesn’t make them right but linguistically that’s one use of the word. A poor and one and erroneous at least in spirit if not technically.
I would certainly agree that there’s no reason anyone outside of an Arab speaking area should be using it to describe God because of how Muslims have attached so many bad connotations to the term with their behavior over the centuries, including their routine dishonesty, condoned by their false “god”.
If you think Trump was talking to anyone in Iran with this comment, you aren't paying close attention to what is happening.
...it's a joke
Praise be to Allah?
As I mentioned in another post:
Trump is basically telling Iran that their god is on our side, not theirs.

Allah is not God from a Christian perspective. God does not condone lies, but Allah does.

Yeah, that was weird.
