I never had the measles when I was young. After I was an adult, in the 1970s, I tried to get a measles shot, but the health department refused. They said it was pretty much impossible that I had never had the measles. I had been worried, as my grandfather got the measles in his 80s and almost died.

BTW, I have been through a lifetime of autism without all those shots, as I have Asperger's. I realized I was different when I was in 3rd grade.

I did have the mumps and chicken pox, so I was normal in that respect.

Momma put me and my brothers together so we would all get it at once .

I'm pretty sure my kid had measles last year and the only symptoms were a fever and the rash. Played outside the whole time. Measles is not scary.
