I love this idea, but I also believe that people were actually smarter back then. Folks nowadays have the attention span of a gnat and are just going to end up killing themselves or going blind with bad product. It wouldn't bother me much.
Well it does require patience and intelligence to make top quality, better than the industrial-alcohol-complex, shine. My son started his career as an electrician, so he wired his still to sound an alarm on his phone when the still starts rising in temperature, which is a sign of tails. My other son has trained his wife to do that crucial intervention. Either way works...
