Yeshua was a traveling teacher with no office, no money, no plan for a global institution. He didn't write anything down. He didn't appoint a pope. What he left was a group of followers and a message.
The entire claim of papal authority rests on one disputed line in Matthew. That line was written decades after he died, by communities already fighting about who's in charge. Even if you take it at face value, there's no clean chain from that moment to a bishop in Rome inheriting total authority. The chain was built backward — interpretation, then office, then succession, then exclusivity. The power came first. The justification followed.
Paul organized things. Constantine plugged the whole network into imperial machinery in 313. From there it's just what powerful institutions do: accumulate money, centralize control, push out competitors, protect themselves. That's not a divine mandate. That's history.
Now fast forward.
The same institution that claims unique moral authority from God — the right to tell humanity what is right and wrong — used that authority, systematically, to hide the rape of children. Not in one country. Not by a few bad priests. Across continents, across centuries, inside the leadership structure itself. Bishops moved predators. Information was buried. The institution came first. The children didn't.
Over five billion dollars in settlements in the US alone. Multiple dioceses went bankrupt. The investigations weren't attacks — they were audits, and they all found the same thing.
Here's what that means: the authority claim and the cover-up aren't separate problems. The cover-up used the authority. The institution's own power structure is what made the concealment possible and persistent. You can't quarantine the divine institution from the humans running it, because those humans were making institutional decisions, across centuries, for as long as the institution has existed. That's not failure. That's the system revealing what it actually protects when the choice has to be made.
The foundation was always thin. What was built on it showed its real priorities when it mattered most.

Has anyone heard or read stories of boxes full of tiks being found on farms in the USA, Missouri in particular, during the plowing phase? I came across several stories, but none seem credible. Has anyone experienced this or personally know someone who has. The rumor is that this is being done because Pfizer has a vaccine against Lyme Disease ready to roll out. My gut says this is fake news, but I would like to hear something, pro or con, from someone who would know.
