The Substack article consists almost entirely of 21 screenshots of people commenting on their success using Ivermectin against herpes and shingles. I can't reproduce them here, and I don't know that the details would be helpful, other than these three things:
-
Ivermectin creme and paste used topically is effective, as are pills and tablets taken orally.
-
people report success using Ivermectin with their cats (feline herpes)
-
The efficacy extends to use against shingles
Dr. Makis mentions that Herpes isn't the ONLY virus that Ivermectin works against:
Ivermectin has a broad anti-viral action, so this effect on Herpes Virus is real.

I take an amino acid called "Lysine" to make my cold sores go away. I take one the moment I can feel a breakout about to happen. If I take the Lysine early in the outbreak it never gets a chance to cause blistering and a cold sore. Lysine prevents the Herpes virus from spreading and shuts it down real fast. I used to get cold sores several times a year before I discovered Lysine. I currently have not had an outbreak for at leas a decade now. I highly recommend Lysine. It's also very inexpensive.
Yes, lysine is a good choice for dealing with herpes viruses. The arginine / lysine balance is actually important; it you're taking a lot of arginine, you're more likely to have episodes and to have them longer.
I did not know that. Thank you for educating me about arginine.
