Never forget or lose sight of our main competitor. That is China. For the past few weeks, we have slowly been unsettling China with the control of the straight of Hormuz which supplies 20% of their oil. Yesterday we sealed their fate by signing an agreement to cooperate militarily with Indonesia, giving us control of the straight of Malacca, which provides passage to 80% of China’s oil. We also took back control of the Panama Canal last year. Out of the 120 some ships that came empty to Texas for oil, many were chinese. This route doubles their shipping time from 30 to 60 days. No cheap oil from Iran means no more cheap products from China. With the control of the Malacca Strait, by simply requesting more stringent ship inspections, it will add 5-10 days to their journey and that my friends, is enough to disrupt their just-in-time deliveries. China’s fate was sealed yesterday, quietly, without any major news outlets proclaiming this historic event. President Trump, you and your team have been incredible.
