Sky News ...Tsunami warnings downgraded to advisories Tsunami warnings for Iwate prefecture and parts of Hokkaido and Aomori have been downgraded to tsunami advisories.

The Japan Meteorological Agency earlier warned of waves as high as 3m after the earthquake off northeastern Japan.

Under the advisories, it is cautioning waves of up to 1m are expected.
