I think that it's too late for Voter ID. Many states have had primaries already, so the good candidates have already lost, leaving only (s)elected candidates.

The real question is, If the military takes over the elections, how can we bring back the candidates that have already lost? Wouldn't they need more money to run another quick, condensed campaign? It seems messy.
