Whether he died at all is still a question, too many questionable "sources" and the whole thing sounds hinky. I've seen false stories be flooded on the Internet before in the same manner, but not recently. Very sad if he died, but if so he did not commit suicide. Too many crazy scientist/ufo incidents recently and well beyond a matter of coincidence.

I agree he's "odd", tend to think of it as "spirited", but he's got a very peaceful soul, not the type to turn desperate overnight. Witness protection ploy as he's likely gotten death threats and living in a tiny town that may have been an option for him. Just tossing out theories here. Will wait a couple -few days to see how this pans out.
