Contemplating Q's statement that 60% of the truth must forever be withheld, this fits within that 60%.

It might also factor into the infamous "the truth would put 99% of people in the hospital." For something to shake people to the point of psychosis it must be personal. Unknowingly eating this kind of unwelcome ingredients IS personal.
