A friend said that each time someone uses a Grok app, it uses a gallon of water. Is this true? We are in a drought in WNC.
Data centers use a ton of water but its not like each question costs a gallon of water. They have massive coolant and radiation demands so they flow through a bunch of water.
The waters already getting used one way or another though its not like one Ai question just makes the computer drink a gallon of water to answer.
Much like how vegans not eating steak does not in fact the cow from being killed.
It works fine for me. I do get the message that you are talking about from time to time but not lately. I have grok premium though via the eight dollar monthly subscription on X.
