It's also a common symbol for Mormonism, used within the church as a symbol for productivity, and a beehive is on the state flag of Utah.
You may need to look at Joesph Smith's background / lodge ?
I'm well aware of the accusations that Mormonism is a fraudulent religion, but I hadn't heard of organized/institutional sponsorship. Please share.
Didn't say was Fraudulent. Maybe your just projecting. I said it's origins were in a Freemason and his ideas.

Thanks for clarifying; I thought you were implying it had been set up by a masonic lodge, in the same way that Islam was allegedly started by the Vatican.
