Also there is the problem with big companies buying up farmland to build big warehouse distribution centers, new neighborhoods, apartment complexes and other non-needed things. It's so sad to see what once was acres and acres of farmland being bought up just to build on to make some big company more rich. It also brings more people to areas that just want to stay quiet and laid back, not turned into some big city that people who have lived in those areas for over 20 yrs don't want. And it's not like everyone can just pick up and move from their homes to be further in the country, because for one it's too expensive and for another in a few years down the road it would be the same thing all over again. And the new homes are more expensive than preowned homes, so it won't help the housing market at all.
And these big companies & the local towns/counties officials (that let these companies come in and do what they want, it's all about the 💰💵) don't bother to widen the small town roads, add more ways to get out of neighborhoods that only have one entrance/exit onto two lane country roads that gets backed up to where you can't get out because the highway gets backed up, then add all those extra people moving to the new homes/apartments on those small 2 lane roads. Not to mention adding new schools for the overflow of kids coming into the areas.
