The UAE is going to have some difficulty increasing their exports as long as the Strait remains closed. They have a pipeline that goes to their east coast, but the capacity of that pipeline is limited. Even between both the UAE's and SA's pipelines, they have contributed only a small portion of what previously flowed through the Strait. But at least it is something. US oil industry is the big winner here; but not the American people who are stuck paying higher fuel prices and will shortly start paying higher prices for goods.
