It’s just catharsis; a way for people to vent.

When I scream “fuck you cunt” at the TV during an Obama speech, I know he can’t really hear me.

It’s important for people to read like-minded comments because everything the left does is about isolating you and making you feel like your views are in the fringe minority when the exact opposite is true.
