I think that's the appropriate perspective on these edge cases.

Feline non-humans aside though, the general subject of non-human interaction with us is a foregone conclusion. No one that has seriously studied the subject and thought about it honestly can believe otherwise.

That being said, there are a fair number of feline non-human sightings/interactions over the years from seemingly reliable sources.
