Dude.... Besides the facts that data centers are being built the author only offers unproven assertions and opinions.
Boiling down the fact that the US is building data centers and VERY loosely saying it's for digital currency and social credit scores is a WILD assertion.
It's also quite stupid. A private blockchain like a centralized digital currency would need LESS computing power than the decentralized public blockchains we have now. It's not using distributed ledger technology because it's centralized.
There are DOZENS of use cases for this computing power that come to mind way before the idea of a centralized digital currency that make way more sense.
At the end of the day AI is an arms race. It's not good at just a few things, it's good at almost everything. The country that leads the world in AI technology and processing power will essentially lead the world period.
Video contains partial truths for misrepresantations. (Like a video with the headline that Amazon was closing its fresh stores in New York City, making it look like Amazon was fleeing from Mamdani and New York City. That was half true. Amazon is closing their fresh stores in New York City. But they are closing them across the country, not just NY.)
So Trump is a lie and will finish the job while hes got us distracted with fairy tales? Or he too stupid to know an enemy when they stand before him? Which is it?
Beware the "there's only one reason why X is happening" assertion, followed by "here's the real reason, and you're not going to like it". That is a tried-and-true rhetorical technique of a propagandist.
The propagandists tried to attack Trump directly. That didn't work. They tried to attack his inner circle. That hasn't worked so well either. In the first term they smothered him with bad advisors. It worked then; not so much now. What remains as the softest attack surface is the MAGA base.
They asked themselves: What does half of MAGA hate that can serve as a wedge issue? Answer: Israel.
They also ask: What does all of MAGA hate that we can use to have them turn on Trump? Answers: central bank digital currencies, and mass domestic surveillance. The play, then, is to propagandize MAGA that Trump's hidden devious plan is to usher in exactly these two hated things. Many people who'd otherwise be on our side push this narrative too, e.g. Whitney Webb.
sniff. I detect a whiff of TDS and I think it's coming from Leo, here.
Then argue the factual points.
Scott Bessent was a protege of George Soros and worked for Soros Fund Management for decades.
Now make it make sense that Trump would appoint him as a Treasury Secretary.

...a true believer we have...
More like a student of history and the impact of innovation on power, trade, and warfare.
Paradigm shifts always have people left in the dust. You've seen several in your lifetime and yet...
I'm mainly concerned with Scott Bessent.
Why would trump appoint a Soros protege to Treasury Secretary?

...my trust lies in God Almighty and his son, my Savior, Christ Jesus...
What better person to hire than one who's been on the inside. I judge Bessent on his actions and so far he has been EXCELLENT!

" Trump's hidden devious plan"
...it is deviously crappy...
Then what? They vote for Kamala?
Refrain from voting, including the down ballots, most likely. Demoralization shrinks turnout.
" TDS "
...I see the glowies have added a variation of "conspiracy theorist"...
You ask for money at the end of the article- not the beginning, Leo.
Agree.
