Emperors were seen as the link between heaven and earth, and rituals at the Temple of Heaven were meant to demonstrate that harmony. The temple was used by Chinese emperors to perform annual ceremonies praying for good harvests, peace and stability for the empire.
When a dynasty failed the people of China, they lost the “Mandate of Heaven” the CCP fears this most of all. Their economy is tanking, infrastructure is crumbling, young people are “lying flat” giving up, 🇨🇳 desperately needs 🇺🇸, we do not need them. Flat out war is out of the question but soft power works.
