He was being tongue-in-cheek. Everybody in Barstow knows that Del Taco started in Barstow and there are not many legit "street taco" vendors in Barstow. The city allowed food trucks in 2021 but Del Taco being the original Barstow street taco goes way back.

EDIT: Here's a picture of the menu where it's listed as "Barstow Street Taco"
