Trump has already beaten Russia and China in our hemisphere, why would he give Taiwan security away? Taiwan is the equivalent of China's Cuba. Why would we just leave them to fall when this island is of great strategic importance geographically and economically?
Right now, Taiwan produces 90% of computer chips for the world. No way in hell is the timing right to let them fall.
The US has begun production of chips in AZ, but we are far from ready to pick up the pieces of Taiwan falling.
