Because we have done the unexpected. They have to play out the scenario and every permutation on how to come out on top or at least no worse off. It could take them 3 days to do that. All the while suspecting it is in vain, but self deluding to keep hope alive.
I see. War game simulation time on their supercomputer clusters. I overlooked that aspect.
You know, maybe it's better living life as an out-of-the loop civilian. But it kinda sucks to be always guessing as to the true state of the (classified) world. I once had a brief one-on-one chat with Tony Tether. He didn't tell me nothin' 'bout the cool toys on the inside.
A lot of the stuff you hear is Bull. It’s most often the stuff you don’t hear about that is real. You only hear about it when we use it and not always then.
And the name often changes. Generals and Trump like to that. Dial an effect becomes The "Discombobulator" .
