I agree, LA seems bad too but somehow it doesn't sound as bad where the entire city has these elements almost every single sidewalk or block, sure there's homeless around here but not what Seattle has though some areas have such scum roaming.
But as you described where Seattle is too dangerous to walk around as they're everywhere in the city, that speaks me it's a major failure more than Los Angeles who has a more larger and diverse landscape.
One thing I believe will happen with CA, the fraud here is literally the most worst. Ranked 1 actually, if that falls then the rest will follow. Spencer Pratt will win as Mayor and Steve Hilton will certainly win too, what follows next will be absolutely beautiful.
Seattle is geographically very "tight"---with the Puget Sound on the west side of the city and Lake Washington on the east side. All the city is jammed into an "isthmus" between these two bodies of water (not to mention Lake Union in the center). Very different from the Los Angeles sprawl.
