Take a similar situation in US. How did a country with the best intelligence allow thousands of people to be killed on 9/11?
You know the answer and I know the answer. It was not because the event did not happen. It was not because all Americans are evil. It was because there was enough infiltrated deep state in America to allow it to happen.
Now apply the same logic to Israel. Infact, pretty much any argument you have about Israel can be compared to a similar situation in US and you will have the answer.

There wont be too much of a next batch of foreign aid. Once Iran is out and middle east is stabilised, it also ends Israel dependance on US.
