Quibble I must, but technically, the USA is a Constitutional Republic operating under the separation of powers. Actually there is a big difference between Constitutional vs Democrat Republics (democrat often equates to mob rule).

We absolutely need to get that D word as far from our Republic as possible.

I love to point out to people that call the USA a Democracy that the vast, overwhelming majority of FedGov (that would be the entire Executive branch) is not democratically elected.

Which means that if you consider FedGov to be a democracy, it is democratically proven NOT to be one.
