Of course they were excluded in the trials. The drug was developed to treat Type 2 diabetes - not weight loss. But pharma saw dollar signs. This is one of the big problems when drugs are widely prescribed off label willy-nilly before the side effect profile is fully developed.
One thing I always try to tell everyone, is that any new medication or surgical procedure that is released, the public are the phase 4 FDA testing guinea pigs. They are the population where these side effects become the most pronounced prior to any guard rails are put in place. This brings big profits for pharma and surgeons before the brakes are forced to be put on. Who loses? The public, and they have more to lose than a few extra pounds. Many doctors are sounding the alarm bells with this one. The side effects are horrendous and possibly permanent. Some are fatal.
guinea pigs are right.
I have read that Ozempic eventually kills your digestive tract so you can't digest food at all.
The joke is on the manufacturers. I have suicidal ideation without the Ozempic.
Howls.
