I believe that this is for a two fold purpose: Scare the Iranians into making the deal that we want and sorting out which escalation scenarios we will use. They donβt even have to be major destruction campaigns.
Take their oil from Kharg island and sell it. They canβt stop pumping and all those full oil tanks look like money in the bank to them for later. Bank robbery.
Surgically slice their power lines. And anybody that still has power (generators), is likely a bad guy.
Turn Tehran, etc. into a 1984 surveillance state remotely. Any bad guy pops his head up will get whacked.
Disable their vehicles. Kinetic or non kinetic.
There are a lot of things that we can take away that we can later put back after regime change. We will just charge a fee for every barrel of oil shipped in perpetuity. And they will buy it from us. Excellent economic move.
Slice the power lines to their oil wells and they are done. Their oil fields will be history. The Mullahs will not have the money to fund their terrorist operations
