It amazes me that people can get more concerned over how someone expresses himself, than over what his actions may contribute to the alleviation of human suffering.
I had an old friend come down with Parkinson's Disease, and he did resort to brain implants to control the tremors, without which he would have been helpless to use his limbs. The Parkinson's finally got him, but he had a very long time of beneficial life that he wouldn't have had otherwise.
Just bear in mind that medicine and technology are two of God's gifts that He gave to mankind, for the alleviation of suffering and want. He didn't have to do that. We should be properly grateful.

No, for Him they were miracles. For us, they are technology, a gift from God. Does the blind person quibble?
