The South Carolina Senate decided to violate the Supreme Court's recent ruling... by citing Democrat’s argument that “early voting began today so it’s too late.”
So yeah... they can violate the law and hold an illegal primary election, and then use the same illegal districts in the November main election because it's too late to stop and revise the districts and hold a legal election? It's OK to violate Federal Law if it's inconvenient not to violate it?
Seems to me that the State of South Carolina can appeal to the Supreme Court, have the primary election results tossed out as illegal... and then they have to hold new primaries.
