TBF, the rino right pols are happy to line their pockets with taxpayers' money as well, why several of them proposed watered-down, tepid, pseudo property relief bills in an attempt to forestall this one DeSantis ultimately proposed here. Again, I forget exact numbers, but Florida property tax revenue nearly doubled over a five year (?) period (Edit: $32B in 2019 to $60B in 2025/6) and this wasn't due to a doubling of the number of homes or doubling of services Florida residents received. While the aggregate number of homes did rise, it was a perceived home value increase coupled with increased rates of taxation. The Florida resident did not get "super services" as a result; they just got a higher tax burden.
Look into what the state FAFO has uncovered to get a better idea about the nature of what these DS minion pols have done with their citizens' hard-earned tax money -- a lot of DEI BS and "climate change" hoax crap plus other ridiculous, wasteful allocations. The following link -- and CAUTION this will download the report, 6.45M, onto your hard drive -- is the 99-page January 2026 update for the Florida DOGE/FAFO efforts to date. (IMO it's useful to grab a copy of this periodically as the effort continues). On first perusal it's an excellent report written in clear, basic language and providing the detailed data as well. You can check the overall findings and also dig down into individual cities that have been audited to date.
