I understand preventing them from having a nuke is priority one. My frustrations are from hearing drill baby drill for 2 terms now so it's a little hard to understand how we can be producing so much oil and selling a ton now yet we are still paying top dollar. It makes no sense.
Actually, priority one is you gotta get paid first and here are the first quarter (Q1) 2026 net profits for the world's five largest Western oil and gas majors, ranked by earnings:
Shell: $6.94 billion (Adjusted Earnings)
TotalEnergies SE: $5.81 billion
Exxon Mobil Corp: $4.18 billion (Net Income)
BP PLC: $3.84 billion
Chevron Corp: $2.21 billion (Net income)
So they're doing pretty good but as you can see there isn't much left for we the people. We need to make sure the rich stay rich and give us a bunch of propaganda. Check in next quarter to make sure they're getting theirs.
