Why is it that when I say WHAT needs to be done I get replies with hyperbolic statements implying that I think my "wishful thinking" will miraculously occur?
I'm not an idiot, check my post history. I'm hoping to spark conversation with like-minded people.
No, I don't think that political parties vanishing is going to "just happen" anymore than I think mankind is on the Earth because we "just happened". If you have any questions about the latter get a copy of Probability Zero, published by Vox Populi.
Obviously political parties need to be outlawed.
Then people say that's unConstitutional because "freedom of association" is a Constitutionally protected right.
My response to that is that people who join the Armed Services give up numerous rights, why should people who are serving to lead this nation not do the same?
Now that I've repeated the usual conversation I have when I bring this up to Libertarians...
I was hoping to get thoughts from some folk on here, rather than spew my own. I already know what I think.

Ironically enough, that's exactly what my goal was in asking you those questions. I wasn't telling you anything was wishful thinking. I was trying to understand what your stance was, and the ways you saw it possibly happening.
Political parties are the problem. All political parties.
When some unelected chowder head can tell my elected representative to vote against something I "hired" him to vote for, that's a problem.
We will continue to have problems as long as we have political parties.
Don't get me wrong, we'll have problems once we get rid of political parties, too. But they'll be different problems.
And you think popitical parties are just going to cease to exist?

Ok, sorry I overreacted. I've had a couple of interactions on here lately that have tended towards what I wrote above.
