What I remember about the Liberty is that it was originally stationed outside the war zone, but was given urgent orders to advance closer. A great big WTF as it was not clear we weren't gathering tactical intelligence for the Egyptians. It was a mistake, recognized and apologized by Israel, including reparations for the lives lost. I would say the key question is who gave that order and why. I don't expect the Israel-haters to bother asking it.

So, you didn't pay attention to the circumstance that the U.S. administration deliberately positioned Liberty to be provocative. And therefore it goes over your head...as I expected it would. (As also would the possibility that a sudden entry into the zone might be under a false flag. It is almost hilarious that we announce "false flag" events at the drop of a hat, and then draw a blank when someone else may have suspected a potential threat of being under a false flag.)
