I would not rely on this account for anything. In the first case, the description of the Gaza situation as "genocide" is clearly Hamas propaganda. Very popular propaganda for those who seek a reason to denounce Israel, but a tissue of lies nevertheless. (Think about this: how do you distinguish between civilians and Hamas fighters? You can't. Hamas has no uniform, which is a violation of the laws of war. But the Gazans did not sign up for that.) The propaganda does a masterful job of inducing a coma of forgetfulness about October 7, 2023 and what happened then.
In the second case, the article simply describes the Lavi fighter as being "U.S. technology." The reality is far different. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAI_Lavi Only a minuscule portion of the Lavi was of U.S. origin. The Lavi had extensive advances in digital flight control, all of Israeli design and was far lighter than the F-16 (a big deal in airplane design), with a completely different wing design (another big deal). Superficial similarities to the F-16 and Chinese J-10 are exactly that: superficial. Hardly anyone is familiar with the Phase One and Phase Two competitions that resulted in the F-16. General Dynamics participated in Phase One with a design that did not resemble the F-16 at all. Boeing participated in Phase One with a design that was a spitting image of the F-16 (I saw it in person at Plant 2, years afterward), but was down-selected from that competition round. General Dynamics survived to compete in Round Two...with a design that copied the Boeing Round One proposal. One can hardly say that Boeing helped them with it. The rest is history. All this goes to show that GenXGirl doesn't know what "she" is talking about.
